We are presently on the lookout for a dynamic professional Open Solderer in Seymour, CT.Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:Responsible for performing soldering tasks throughout the assembly process. This role demands an individual who works as a member of a team under the direction of the production supervisor and functions under time pressure. Key Responsibilities:Perform soldering tasks on electronic assemblies.Ability to maintain production rates and flows.Ability to identify good and bad solder joints.Component identification training required.Proficiency with and working knowledge of MIS (Aegis) software required. Job Qualifications:(Level I.) Operator can perform simple soldering tasks under moderate supervision using assembly instructions with high accuracy and moderate speed, including:Demonstrate ability to perform lap joints, butt joints, and through hole joints.Demonstrate ability to attach solder cup and lug soldering for connector terminations.Demonstrate ability to perform wire tinning.Education: Minimal industry experience required.IPC 610 Certification preferred.J-STD-001 Certification preferred.(Level II.) Operator can perform complex soldering tasks with little to no supervision using assembly instructions with high accuracy and high speed, including:Basic knowledge of solder theory.Demonstrate ability to install and remove SMT or Through hole components.Demonstrate an elevated level of quality consciousness, adherence to industry standards.Education: 3-5 years of industry experience or equivalent.IPC J-STD-001 Certification required.IPC 610 Certification preferred.Solid understanding of basic solder theory.Demonstrate the ability to install, remove, and repair all electronic packages.Demonstrates the ability to use hot air rework equipment.Demonstrate the ability to perform circuit board repairs such as barrel, pad, corner, or etch repairs.Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of industry standards.Provide leadership within the company relative to soldering techniques and quality.Capable of training and supervising others.5 years of industry experience or equivalent.IPC J-STD-001 Certification Required.IPC 610 Certification Required.
