Our client will assist with relocation if interested in moving to Conway SC Responsibilities of Position:Safety - set expectations to maintain a safe and organized workplace, lead by example, ensure environmental compliance, hold daily safety talks, make daily observations and conduct Safety and Housekeeping Audits.Primary Responsibility for all aspects of Melt and RMSB personnel including scheduling, training and performance reviews. Includes coordination with AP Melt Supervisor in this aspect.Primary Responsibility for MF Refractory repairs and relines.Primary Responsibility for Maintenance/Engineering Liaison for non-AR level Melt and RMSB repairs and projects.Assist Melt Supervisor with RMSB charge coordination, raw materials inventory, chemistry control and corrections, and Melt process, as required / in Melt Manager’s absence (Melt Manager is Primary).Maintain melt webpage with required communications to operate the plant on a 24 hour basis.Write, review, and update all procedures/work instructions and forms in ISO 9000 QC system and Melt Intranet for the melting of all alloys.Actively participate in the quality process including resolution of CARS.Arrange and assist Melt Manager in all melt X-trials, collect experimental data and samples, compile and interpret the results.Other duties as assigned.Key Success Factors:Communicate all performance expectations including safe work practices to all melt personnel.Drive webpage initiatives in melt areas.Provide consistent and timely performance feedback to employees throughout the melting operation.Solicit feedback from plant personnel on opportunities to improve processes (yields, procedures, methods, etc.).Continuously monitor & revise melt area ISO documents as required.Effectively integrate with the other crew leaders to deliver casting production and quality objectives.Ability to work with engineers / metallurgists to execute trials and implement improvements.Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:Ability to communicate with all plant personnel.Excellent written and oral communication skills and Excellent listening skills.Change agent - constantly seeks alternative ideas & new ways to accomplish the goals.Self-starter: highly motivated individual with the ability to solve problems / resolve issues and multi-task.Strong computer skills required.Ability to take instructions and follow through with minimal supervision.Work on plant floor at least 60% of the timeCreate and conduct performance reviews for melt department team of 14 employees.Manage department employees' performance and attendance, and issue coaching and discipline as/if needed.Will be required to create and present PowerPoint presentations to leaders and plant staff as/when needed/required.Ability to perform required physical work as and when needed to run the department successfully.Experience/Education Required/Sought:BS degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.Proven leadership and organizational ability.Advanced user in MS Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.5 years related experience in manufacturing.Must have Metallurgist background.Must have previously worked closely with R&D, Quality, Procurement, and other relevant departments.Duration: Direct Hire Location: Conway, SC OnsitePay Rate: $120-150K DOE Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately! Environmental Scientist/Wetland Specialist

We are currently seeking an Environmental Scientist – Wetland Specialist to work out of Shelton, CT office. Summary:This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations at our facilities and during operation and maintenance projects along the right-of-way. This will require travel along the full length of pipeline in New York and Connecticut. Overnight stays will be required. Primary duties include the following:Wetland delineations, inspections and any other activity as decided upon by the Manager, Environmental Services.Wetland delineations: Perform wetland delineations for our operations and maintenance projects along the right-of-way. OGI surveys; become qualified and conduct leak surveys for compliance with air regulations.Identify wetland and stream edges prior to vegetation maintenance projects annually prior to the mowing crew. The ability to identify invasive species. Annually walk the full right-of-way in Connecticut and document conditions indicating erosional issues, invasive species issues, ATV disturbance, etc. Inspections: Complete quarterly facility inspections at our seven compressor stations ensuring adequate spill containment for waste drums, waste management documentation, air compliance documentation is onsite and available for inspection by a state or federal agency. Complete site inspections during operation and maintenance projects ensuring that all erosion and sedimentation controls are adequately installed and that all environmental permit conditions are being managed in accordance with the permits and regulations. Conduct pre-job training if required for field operations and contractors completing the work.Quarterly Station InspectionsSurveys: Training will be provided to the qualified individual to conduct Optical Gas Imaging surveys on an as needed basis upon Field Operations repairing leaks at the facilities. Quantitative:This position will assist the Environmental Analyst with directing environmental surveys that may be needed for operations and maintenance projects. Environmental surveys may include archeological, wetland, threatened and endangered species, invasive species, leak surveys and noise surveys. Knowledge:Familiar with environmental regulations including FERC, NYDEC, CTDEEP, USCOE. Experience:A minimum of a BS degree in Environmental Science or a related physical science field. Wetland certified and at least three years’ experience with wetland delineations. The ability to identify invasive species. Environmental inspection is a plus. Proven ability to manage contractor relationships for projects. Major Activities: Annually walk the area determined for mowing to identify wetland and stream boundaries before the mowing crew arrives.Annually walk of the CT right-of-way along with a contractor; develop CT Siting Council Report.
