Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:We are currently seeking a CNC Process Engineer in Bethel, CT. CNC Process Engineer will be responsible for the programming, process development and general advancement of the CNC manufacturing cells, including Milling and Wire EDM. This position requires the practical application of good manufacturing practices and organizational skills. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of production CNC operations and work holding, excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for hands-on problem solving. Key Responsibilities:Program new CNC jobs and optimize / modify existing ones as necessary.Work holding conceptualization and design.Suggest / implement enhancements to reduce cycle / lead times and costs. Contribute to and implement IQ/OQ/PQ activities.Troubleshoot program and equipment issues.Provide run time and work holding estimates for new job quotations.Generate work instructions, setup sheets and visual aids as required. Train operators in the proper setup and operation of jobsInteract with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Logistics and HR as required.Adhere to company procedures / quality standards and ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable external regulations (ex: OSHA, FDA).Job Qualifications:BS or MS in a related Engineering discipline5-year minimum CNC experience, strong Milling and Multi-Axis background (operation, programming, troubleshooting, setup)Proven CAD/CAM experience is necessary (SolidWorks, MasterCam, and/or Esprit preferred)Experience working in ISO-9001/13485 or similar environment.To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proven CNC manufacturing experience, be an agent of change and exhibit good project / people management skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of fixtures and work holding for repeatable production manufacturing. Must possess good technical and interpersonal skills to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individuals must be organized and focused on all aspects of the position. Works in conjunction with group leader, setup person, and parts coordinator in the setup and running of jobs on machines as directed by the supervisor. Analyze and interpret management data from Fuji-tracks. Demonstrate working knowledge of screen printer, paste inspection, pick, and place, and reflow oven. Recall proper oven profile. Manage inventory for projects which run in SMT. 1-5 years of industry experience or equivalent. IPC 610 Certification preferred. Hand placement of difficult parts. Capable of training and supervising others. Key Responsibilities:Performs incoming/receiving inspections on bare PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) per IPC-A-600.Performs incoming/receiving inspections on electrical and mechanical components.Examines quality of workmanship for conformity to customer documentation and industry standards.Verify the accuracy of documentation, such as Certificate of Conformity, FAI reports and Test data.Performs conformal coat inspection as assigned by the Group Leader.Follows established procedures for identifying and handling nonconforming materials.Assists engineering in developing quality inspection plans.Manage and publish inspection report.
